For many years now the European Commission has been running the Erasmus Programme in the areas of education, training, youth and sports. Erasmus+ has been providing students in turkey with education opportunities from school all the way to adult education.
The Turkish branch of the Erasmus+ Programme visited with the Germana school last Monday and informed the students of its offerings.
Students from grades 8 through IB attended the meeting, asked questions and took a quiz.
Afterwards, they played a community game directed by Erasmus students, called ‘The Journey: Istanbul’. This game helped the students understand the living circumstances of refugees from Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan who are waiting in Turkey for refuge in Europe.
